    Peter Clak Spoke at the Canadian Broiler Hatching Egg Marketing Agency's (CBHEMA) Annual General Meeting. Mr. Clark's presentation assessed perspectives of the Doha Round and Where Canada's interest fit into the picture.

    Peter Clark and Chris Hines conducted a review of workshops in Manilla in the final component of Phase 1 of the "Philippines AD/CVD Technical Assistance Program". In this round the focus was on case study analysis, verification practices and a roundtable discussion to facilitiate the compilation of an Administrative Practices Manual. Participants were engaged in a thorough analysis combining  real cases and over fifty years expereince from the Grey Clark Shih team.

    Peter Clark appeared before the House of Commons Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade to discuss Canada's trade relations with the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN). Mr. Clark proposed Canada movefarther and faster to negotiate a free trade agreement as Canada's manufacturers are ideally suited to integrate with ASEAN supply lines. The President of the Canada Border Services Agency terminated the investigation regarding the dumping of laminate flooring in thickness ranging from 5.5 mm to 13 mm (other than laminate hardwood flooring where the hardwood component exceeds 2 mm in thickness) originating in or exported from Austria, GCS represented Kaindl Flooring GmbH of Salzburg, Austria.

He explored bilateral commercial opportunities and further developed commercial ties in China. Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong were visited. Grey, Clark, Shih and Associates, Limited was also the primary sponsor of the China Trade Mission Canadian Business Delegation Office.

    Peter Clark represented Grey, Clark, Shih and Associates, Limited in International Trade Minister Jim Peterson’s Canada Trade Mission to Brazil to explore bilateral commercial opportunities in various sectors, create new business relationships, and build on existing ones. Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro were visited. Grey, Clark, Shih and Associates, Limited was also the primary sponsor of the Brazil Trade Mission Canadian Business Delegation Office.

Peter, Clark, President, Grey, Clark, Shih is pleased to announce that Dairy Farmers of Canada has retained GCS to analyze a broad range of foreign agricultural support problems in the context of WTO rules and the August 2004 WTO Framework Agreement. The initial phase of the report addressing U.S. programs will be completed by early November, 2004.

Peter Clark and Chris Hines represented Liyang Machinery (Shen Zhen) Co., Ltd and A. Mordo and Son, Ltd. Normal values from China have been reduced substantially as Clark and Hines helped persuade the Canada Borders Services Agency the Chinese bicycle exporters operated on a market economy basis.
